Let me answer some questions. No, I don't want one. But I'm not the market for this thing. I'm keeping my Kindle. I'm holding on to my MacBook Pro.
This is what you get your Mom who just wants to look at the internet and email. This is a toy for the non-technical. The geeks I know would rather get around with a laptop. Mom doesn't need all those bells and whistles. They want to look and share at photos of grand children. This is not a bad thing. I like anything that will help get everyone to use more technology.
The market for this is for those who don't feel comfortable with technology. This is perfect for that audience. It's good for short emails and quick appointments. I think this is a play for those who are not quite comfortable with macs but may have a Windows machine mostly for email and browsing. It's a Facebook tool. I'd recommend this to people looking to get a net book. This has the beauty for keeping things simple.
But there's no camera. My iPhone / laptop both have a camera. There's no tethering capability. I'm okay with typing on my iPhone. I can blog my phone. Even with the dock-able keyboard, how can you balance that on your lap?
Bottom line, I don't need a dinner plate to do what I do.
